Location sharing with @Dabr

When we added the display of Geolocation recently, quite a few of you asked us when we were going to add the sharing of locations to Dabr.

Well here it is!

Starting today, a few compatible handsets will now get prompted to allow Dabr to share your location like the photo above.

So far we know the following devices work: iPhones, iPads, Android phones and the N900 too.

Enjoy!

Appears to work in Firefox, too (with a suitable add-on, for location entry).

Geo microformat next?

I enjoy tweeting from dabr, but geotagging does not seem to work on my N900. I have enabled location in twitter settings, but do I need to change something on the device or on dabr? I of course tick the location checkbox when posting. Works splendidly on iPhone..

Hmm. You might need to download a geo-plugin for the browser... Or it might be in the browser settings. It's been so long since I set mine up, I don't remember.

Sorry!

Thanks man, I found out installing Maemo GeoLocation (http://maemo.org/downloads/product/Maemo5/maemo-geolocation/) does the trick. Works for me using the built in MicroB browser and AFAIK it should work with Firefox too...
